Mobile VPN with IKEv2 offers the highest level of security, best performance, and easiest deployment. This VPN type has certificate-based client authentication instead of a pre-shared key. Mobile VPN with IKEv2, L2TP, and IPSec work only when the required ports and protocols are allowed on the remote networks. The MX is not receiving the Client VPN connection attempt. Look at the event log page, using the filter Event type include: All Non-Meraki/Client VPN. Check whether the client's request is listed. If there is no connection attempt going through to the MX, it is possible that the Internet connection that the end user is on may have blocked VPN. The Cisco VPN client is the client side application used to encrypt traffic from an end user's computer to the company network. IPSec is used to encrypt the traffic. When using standard IPSec, IKE is used for the key negotiation and IPSec to encrypt the data. IKE uses UDP port 500 and IPSec uses IP protocol 50, assuming ESP is used. Do you guys happen to know what ports (and I mean ALL the ports, since forwarding 500, 1701, 1723 and 4500 didn't work) need to be port forwarded to be able to connect to the Windows IKEv2 server? Port 1723 seems to be blocked by my ISP, but I don't need it for IKEv2. I had a previous thread discussing this, but the person helping stopped replying.
