QuickVPN is a free IPsec client that is downloadable from Linksys to be used with the RVS4000, RVL200 and other Linksys IPsec-enabled routers. All you need to enter on the RVS4000 is a username and password; no IPsec settings are required.

I just contacted Linksys and found I need to unblock port 500 (IPsec) for the QuickVPN client to work properly with the Windows XP firewall. We're trying to make the LinkSys QuickVPN Client work from behind a PIX firewall - including 501 and 506E -- that is running PAT. If we set the computer up outside the firewall, it works just fine. When we put it behind the firewall, it indicates it is making a connection and says its applying the policy and then hangs on verifying network. The FSF contended that code to which it held the copyright was found in the Linksys models EFG120, EFG250, NAS200, SPA400, WAG300N, WAP4400N, WIP300, WMA11B, WRT54GL, WRV200, WRV54G, and WVC54GC, and in the program QuickVPN, which is used to connect virtual private network (VPN) clients via the RV and WRV series Linksys routers. The DHCP address pool on the Linksys WRV54G (at the office) is 192.168..X. The DHCP on my Belkin remote router (home) is also 192.168..X. (Both routers are 192.168..1 on their respective networks). After I connect via the QuickVPN client on my home pc, I cannot ping anything in the office.
